Within the race for Lucan Biddulph council, there is a chance there could be a new set of members to the horseshoe.
One contender for deputy mayor may be new to most constituents of the area. Adam Sachs is self-employed and has lived in Lucan Biddulph for 10 years. He brings supervisory skills and hopes to cultivate Lucan Biddulph’s culture and community.
Daniel Regan brings eight years of experience on council, having also chaired committees. A retired teacher, Regan has lived in Lucan Biddulph about 12 years. He wants the new council to “keep ahead of the population curve”.
In Ward one, Ken Hogart brings his business sense to the table.Hogart has lived in Lucan for over 30 years and operates a training and consulting and management company for security.
Bryan Frank has lived in the township for ten years and is a teacher. He wants to bring past experiences working in politics with his parents. Besides road safety and downtown upgrades, Frank is interested in ‘Lucan Biddulph’s identity”, or what residents think about their community.
Ward two acclaimed Allan Cunningham will sit the next four years.
In Ward three, 3 vie for a spot on council. While the first two have no hands-on experience on council, both bring their work-related skills. Goldie hopes the new council will “collectively come together to work for the people”. Jim Law could not be reached for comments.
Westman, however, has many years on this council and has been a volunteer in a multitude of local activities.
It will be seen as to whether Lucan Biddulph receives an inexperienced council or a seasoned one come October 26.
