MIDDLESEX & LONDON – The London Writers Society (LWS) is hosting its second
annual BookFest on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at St. Anne’s Anglican Church
(Byron). This one-day event will bring those with a passion for reading together with
local authors and poets to celebrate the Forest City’s vibrant writing scene.
BookFest offers readers a unique opportunity to meet the creators behind their favourite
local reads and discover new voices across all genres—from mystery and memoir to
sci-fi and children’s literature.
"London is a hub for storytelling," says Donna Costa, President of the LWS. "This fair
isn't just about selling books; it’s about connecting the people who write them with those
who read them. We want Londoners to know they don't have to look far to find world-
class literature.

  • Meet & Greets & Signings: Over 20 writers and poets
  • The "Magic Bookmark" Hunt: A city-wide scavenger hunt leading up to the
    event with a prize of local books
  • Interactive events: A "Six-Word Story" wall and a “live” poetry table
