After years of planning, Doug Tarry Homes is thrilled to announce the commencement of an ambitious blitz build project designed to help fill a critical gap in our community’s housing needs. From September 24–26, Doug Tarry Homes, alongside an outstanding team of local builders, will work around the clock to construct eight tiny homes at the Kains Street site (St. Thomas) in just three days.
“We are thrilled this project is coming to reality after many years of planning” said Doug Tarry of Doug Tarry Homes. “It fills a desperately needed gap with the housing needs of our community. We are honoured that so many other builders have agreed to participate in our blitz. We look forward to the opportunity to share this success and what is included in it with the housing industry and government throughout Ontario and Canada as we work to address the housing affordability crisis.”
Participating builders include Wastell Homes, Collier Homes, Winmar Construction, MP Custom Homes, DHP Homes, Gilbert Contracting & Renovations, and Woodfield Design & Build. Together, these teams will tackle every aspect of construction, from assembling walls to installing plumbing, electrical, insulation, and finishing touches like cabinetry and paint.
While the site is not open to the public due to safety concerns, Doug Tarry Homes, along with the YWCA will provide regular updates, behind-the-scenes content, and live coverage via their social media channels throughout the event.
