SEARCH WARRANT RESULTS IN DRUG TRAFFICKING AND FIREARM CHARGES
SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX- Four individuals have been charged after search warrant executed in Glencoe. On March 26, 2025, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the Elgin-Middlesex County OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Lambton OPP CSCU, OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), and OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a search warrant at an address on Ewen Avenue in Glencoe, Municipality of Southwest Middlesex. CSCU members recovered multiple firearms, including a loaded shotgun, a bolt action rifle, three pellet guns, a replica Glock Pistol, a starter pistol and multiple rounds of ammunition. Police also seized just over $3,000 worth of illicit drugs, suspected to be fentanyl, methamphetamine, hydromorphone and oxycodone.
A 58-year-old of Glencoe, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with: Unauthorized Poss of a Firearm, Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm, Careless storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition, Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Opioid (other than heroin), Poss of a Schedule I Substance - Methamphetamine, Poss of a Schedule I Substance - Opioid (other than heroin)
A 35-year-old of Glencoe, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with: Unauthorized Poss of a Firearm, Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm, Careless storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition, Poss of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order, Fail to Comply with Probation Order, Poss of a Schedule I Substance - Methamphetamine
A 34-year-old of Glencoe, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with: Unauthorized Poss of a Firearm, Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm, Careless storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition, Poss of a Schedule I Substance - Methamphetamine. The three accused were held for bail.
A fourth individual, a 47-year-old of London, has been charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with Poss of a Schedule I Substance - Methamphetamine and has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on May 8, 2025.
DISTURBANCE RESULTS IN CHARGES
NORTH MIDDLESEX - Disturbance at a residence in Ailsa Craig leads to charges. On April 1, 2025, at 1:03 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to an address on Main Street in Ailsa Craig, North Middlesex, for the report of a family dispute. An individual was placed under arrest at which time the accused damaged a door to the police cruiser.
As a result, a 29-year-old of Collingwood, has been charged under the Criminal Code with: Assault with A Weapon, Mischief - destroys or damages property
The accused was held for bail.There were no injuries reported.
TRAFFIC COMPLAINT LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGE
MIDDLESEX CENTRE- Driver facing impaired charge after traffic complaint in Middlesex Centre. On April 1, 2025, at 9:02 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to Egremont Drive in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre, for the report of a possible impaired driver. The vehicle was located at which time a traffic stop was initiated. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.
As a result, a 43-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code with: Operation while impaired - Alcohol, Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on May 13, 2025.
THEFT OF $150,000 TRAILER IN MIDDLESEX CENTRE
MIDDLESEX CENTRE, - Middlesex County OPP investigating a theft of trailer worth approximately $150,000.
On April 7, 2025, at 12:43 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to an address on Highbury Avenue North, in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre, for the report of a theft of a 42’ trailer. It was determined an unknown individual(s) attended the property sometime over the weekend and proceeded to steal a red, 2006 ATC, 42’ trailer. The investigation is continuing.
