OPP RECOVER UTILITY TRAILER AND LAWN MOWERS IN ADELAIDE METCALFE
ADELAIDE METCALFE - Middlesex County OPP members have recovered a utility trailer and two riding lawnmowers in Adelaide Metcalfe. On April 23, 2025, at 10:02 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to a storage facility at 28607 Centre Road in Adelaide Metcalfe for the report of a utility trailer and two zero turn riding mowers that had previously been reported as stolen out of London. As police entered the facility, the suspect vehicle was attempting to exit, at which time a traffic stop was initiated.
Two individuals were arrested and taken into custody. As a result, a 39-year-old of London has been charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with: Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 - in Canada (three counts), Possession Break In Instruments, Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code, Driving while under suspension (three counts)
As a result, a 38-year-old of London has been charged under the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with: Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 - in Canada (three counts), Possession Break In Instruments, Fail to Comply with Probation Order (two counts), Poss of a Schedule I Substance - Methamphetamine, Poss of a Schedule I Substance - Opioid (other than heroin). The accused were both held for bail.
SINGLE VEHICLE COLLISION LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGE
ADELAIDE METCALFE - Driver charged with impaired on Highway 402. On April 26, 2025, at 3:06 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex-London Paramedic Service and local fire were dispatched to the Westbound lanes of Highway 402 for the report of a single vehicle collision. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.
As a result a 33-year-old of Cambridge, has been charged under the Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act, Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with: Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), Driving while under suspension, Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit, Poss of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine, Fail to surrender insurance cardThe accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on May 23, 2025. The driver was not injured.
FATAL COLLISION IN MIDDLESEX CENTRE
MIDDLESEX CENTRE, - Two individuals have died as a result of a two-vehicle collision on Longwoods Road and another has sustained life-threatening injuries.On May 6, 2025, at 8:40 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex-London Paramedic Service, and local fire, were dispatched to Longwoods Road in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre, for the report of a serious collision involving a sedan and a pickup truck. The driver of the sedan was pronounced deceased at scene. Two occupants within the pickup truck were transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. As a result, one individual has since been pronounced deceased. The deceased identities are being withheld at this time pending next-of-kin notifications.
SPECIAL INVESTIGATIONS UNIT INVOKES MANDATE IN MIDDLESEX
LUCAN BIDDULPH - The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has invoked their mandate following an incident in Middlesex County. On Saturday, May 10, 2025, at approximately 9:00 p.m., members of the Middlesex Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to an address on Butler Street in Lucan Biddulph Township following reports of a disturbance. Upon police arrival, a male fled in a vehicle, striking two cruisers. The individual was seen heading towards the City of London. With assistance of members of the London Police Service, OPP officers located and stopped the vehicle on Richmond Street near Jacksway Crescent in the City of London. During the interaction with police, the male became unresponsive. Officers administered first aid, and the male was transported to a local hospital.
INVESTIGATION RESULTS IN CHARGES
SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON) - Investigation results in charges for individual from Southwest Middlesex. On May 11, 2025, at 4:01 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to an address on Thames Road in the Municipality of Southwest Middlesex, for the report of an after-the-fact assault between two individuals, resulting from a traffic complaint. As a result of the investigation, police located an involved individual at a nearby residence, at which time they were placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP Detachment.
A 38-year-old of Southwest Middlesex, has been charged under the Criminal Code with: Assault, Operation While Impaired - Alcohol, Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on July 17, 2025.
