YOUTH CHARGED WITH ASSAULT IN NORTH MIDDLESEX
NORTH MIDDLESEX- Youth facing assault charges in North Middlesex. On May 22, 2025, at 10:46 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a residence on Delaware Street in North Middlesex for the report of a disturbance. As a result, a 16-year-old was taken into custody without incident and charged with three counts of Assault, as well as Uttering Threats - Cause death or Bodily Harm under the Criminal Code. There were no serious injuries reported. The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date to speak to the charges.
OPP CHARGE DRIVER AFTER FAILING TO STOP
LUCAN BIDDULPH - Driver facing multiple charges after vehicle fails to stop for police. On May 27, 2025, at 2:14 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to a business at 395 Main Street in Lucan, Lucan Biddulph, for the report of a possibly wanted individual. Police arrived on scene at which time the driver fled the scene at a high rate of speed. A passenger in the vehicle received minor injuries as they were exiting the vehicle as it sped away.
The vehicle failed to stop for police at which time police disengaged due to public safety concerns. The passenger was transported to hospital as a precaution.
At approximately 4:18 a.m., the suspect vehicle was observed at a business located at 2227 Elginfield Road in Parkhill, North Middlesex, at which time the vehicle again fled from officers. Due to public safety concerns officers did not pursue the vehicle. The driver was later located on foot in Parkhill. After a brief struggle the accused was placed under arrest.
As a result, a 21-year-old of no fixed address, has been charged under the Criminal Code with: Resist Peace Officer, Dangerous Operation causing bodily harm, Flight from peace officer, Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code, Resist Peace Officer, Assault with A Weapon, Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Fail to Comply with Probation Order. The accused was held for bail.
SUSPICIOUS FIRE INVESTIGATION IN MIDDLESEX CENTRE
MIDDLESEX CENTRE - Investigation underway into the circumstances related to a structure fire in Middlesex Centre. On May 31, 2025, at 8:30 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), and Middlesex Centre Fire Department, responded to a residential structure fire on Crestview Drive in Kilworth, the Municipality of Middlesex Centre. The fire has been deemed suspicious and as a result, the Middlesex County OPP Crime Unit is conducting an investigation in assistance with the Office of the Fire Marshal.

OPP INVESTIGATING FATAL COLLISION IN SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX
SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX - Middlesex County OPP investigating a fatal single vehicle collision. On June 2, 2025, at 12:45 p.m., emergency services including members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex-London Paramedic Service and Southwest Middlesex Fire, were dispatched to Pratt Siding Road in the Municipality of Southwest Middlesex for the report of a single vehicle collision. Early investigation revealed the vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree and caught fire. As a result, the driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at scene.
Members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team attended to assist with the investigation. Pratt Siding Road remained closed for approximately five hours between Longwoods Road and McMurchy Line and has since opened.
TWO-VEHICLE COLLISION INVOLVING SCHOOL BUS
ADELAIDE METCALFE - Middlesex County OPP investigating a two-vehicle collision involving a school bus. On June 3, 2025, at 3:54 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Middlesex-London Paramedic Service were dispatched to Centre Road in Adelaide Metcalfe, for the report of a two-vehicle collision between a pickup truck and a school bus. The school bus was loaded with 34 elementary aged students.
The bus sustained minor damage and was driven away. The pickup truck was towed from the scene. There were no injuries reported. A 35-year-old of St. Thomas was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Careless Driving.
TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGE
ADELAIDE METCALFE - Driver facing impaired charge after traffic stop in Adelaide Metcalfe. On May 31, 2025, at 10:36 p.m., a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol on Centre Road in Adelaide Metcalfe, observed a suspicious vehicle, at which time a traffic stop was initiated.
The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment. As a result, Nathan DEVRIES, a 30-year-old of Strathroy, has been charged under the Criminal Code with: Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on July 22, 2025.
The Middlesex OPP wants to remind the public that if you see anything suspicious or suspect an impaired driver you should contact the Ontario Provincial Police or your nearest police authority immediately.

On June 1, 2025, at 7:56 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to a traffic complaint on Elginfield Road in Middlesex Centre. The vehicle was located at which time a traffic stop was initiated. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.
As a result, a 22-year-old of Ailsa Craig, has been charged under the Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act and Liquor Licence Control Act with: Operation while impaired - Alcohol, Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), Drive motor vehicle - not equipped with ignition interlock device, Driver - fail to properly wear seat belt, Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on July 31, 2025.
