TWO-VEHICLE COLLISION INVOLVING SCHOOL BUS
ADELAIDE-METCALFE - Middlesex County OPP investigating a two-vehicle collision involving a school bus. On June 3, 2025, at 3:54 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Middlesex-London Paramedic Service were dispatched to Centre Road in Adelaide Metcalfe, for the report of a two-vehicle collision between a pickup truck and a school bus.
The school bus was loaded with 34 elementary aged students. The bus sustained minor damage and was driven away. The pickup truck was towed from the scene. There were no injuries reported. A 35-year-old of St. Thomas was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Careless Driving.

INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE INVESTIGATION RESULTS IN CHARGES
NORTH MIDDLESEX - Domestic assault investigation in North Middlesex results in charges. On May 30, 2025, at 6:25 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to an address in North Middlesex, for the report of an assault complaint. As a result, a 30-year-old of North Middlesex has been charged under the Criminal Code with: Assault Cause Bodily Harm - Choke, suffocate or strangle, Assault - Spousal, Assault, Mischief Under $ 5,000, Failure to comply with release order - other than to attend court. The accused was held for bail.

TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGE
ADELAIDE METCALFE - Driver facing impaired charge after traffic stop in Adelaide Metcalfe. On May 31, 2025, at 10:36 p.m., a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol on Centre Road in Adelaide Metcalfe, observed a suspicious vehicle, at which time a traffic stop was initiated.
The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment. As a result, a 30-year-old of Strathroy, has been charged under the Criminal Code with: Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on July 22, 2025.

TRAFFIC COMPLAINT LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGE
MIDDLESEX CENTRE - Driver facing impaired charge after traffic complaint in Middlesex Centre. On June 1, 2025, at 7:56 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to a traffic complaint on Elginfield Road in Middlesex Centre. The vehicle was located at which time a traffic stop was initiated.
The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.
As a result, a 22-year-old of Ailsa Craig, has been charged under the Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act and Liquor Licence Control Act with: Operation while impaired - Alcohol, Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), Drive motor vehicle - not equipped with ignition interlock device, Driver - fail to properly wear seat belt, Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on July 31, 2025.

MIDDLESEX OPP INVESTIGATING MOTORCYCLE COLLISION
MIDDLESEX CENTRE - Single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle has left one individual with life-threatening injuries. On June 7, 2025, at 7:35 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex-London Paramedic Service and local fire were dispatched to Vanneck Road in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre, for the report of a single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle. Early investigation revealed two motorcycles were travelling together, southbound on Vanneck Road near McEwen Drive, when one rider lost control and crashed.
As a result of the collision, the rider was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Vanneck Road remained closed for a few hours between Sixteen and Fifteen Mile Roads as members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) Team assisted with the investigation. The investigation is continuing.

MIDDLESEX OPP LAY CHARGES IN THEFT INVESTIGATION
MIDDLESEX CENTRE - An individual is facing charges after theft investigation in Middlesex Centre. On May 20, 2025, members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to an address on Oxbow Drive in Komoka, Municipality of Middlesex Centre, for the report of a theft complaint.
As a result of the investigation, members from the Elgin-Middlesex Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Oxford-Brant CSCU and Middlesex County OPP executed a search warrant at a residence on Wonderland Road in the City of London. A 43-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code with: Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 - in Canada, Theft Under $5000
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on July 21, 2025.

DISTURBANCE LEADS TO CHARGES
SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX - A Glencoe resident has been charged after reports of a disturbance. On June 17, 2025, at 8:15 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to an address on McKellar Street in Glencoe, Municipality of Southwest Middlesex, for the report of a disturbance. Investigation revealed an individual had been assaulted during the altercation.
As a result, a 26-year-old of Glencoe, has been charged under the Criminal Code with: Assault with A Weapon, Assault, Mischief Under $ 5,000. The accused was held for bail.
