KERWOOD - The Kerwood Adelaide Metcalfe Optimist Club would like to invite you to our 5th Annual Adelaide Metcalfe Sports Day & BBQ!
This free day of fun for everyone will be held on Saturday, July 26th, 2025 at Kerwood Park starting at 2:00pm. This community event, for people of all ages, will include a variety of activities followed by a barbecue chicken dinner.
We are excited to announce that, special for our 5th Annual event, we have arranged to have a climbing wall and real axe throwing!
The climbing wall has 3-sides with varying degrees of difficulty and a hydraulic counterbalance so it can safely accommodate people from 2 years old to 250 lbs.
Also there will be a trailer outfitted for real axe throwing for people over 10 years of age. Other planned activities include: inflatables, caricature artist, games for the kids, balloon animals, candy toss, face painting & glitter tattoos, as well as a classic car show and live music. There will truly be something for everyone!
This event is possible due to support from numerous local organizations in our community. A list of these sponsors will be posted in the park on the day of the event.
This free day of activities will be followed by a half-chicken BBQ dinner served from 5:00pm to 6:30pm.
