NORTH MIDDLESEX

NORTH MIDDLESEX - Police looking for the publics assistance after unknown individual(s) steal approximately $100,000 worth of tools and brass from a business in North Middlesex.
On July 15, 2024, at 7:30 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP),
were dispatched to a commercial property on Kerwood Road in North Middlesex for the report of a break and enter and theft.
Investigation revealed an unknown individual(s) cut a chain securing a gate on an exterior fence,
then gained entry through a side door of the building, sometime between July 13 and 14, 2024.
At this time, it is believed that approximately, $100,000 worth of tools and brass was stolen. The investigation is continuing.

TRAFFIC STOP FOR STUNT DRIVING LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGE

MIDDLESEX CENTRE - Traffic stop for stunt driving on Medway Road leads to impaired charge. On July 15, 2024, at 12:51 a.m., a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), while on general patrol, performing a traffic safety initiative on Medway Road in Middlesex Centre, observed a vehicle squeal its tires at an intersection. The vehicle was then observed travelling well above the
posted speed limit at which time a traffic stop was initiated.
It was determined the driver had previously consumed alcohol. An Approved Screening Device (ASD)
was utilized. The driver was arrested and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment where further tests were administered. As a result, a 20-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with:

Operation while impaired

  • blood alcohol concentration (80
    plus), Drive Motor Vehicle - Perform
    stunt - Excessive speed, Drive
    motor vehicle - Perform stunt,
    Young driver - B.A.C. above zero
    The accused has been released
    from police custody and is scheduled
    to appear in the Ontario Court
    of Justice to speak to the charges on
    September 9, 2024.

YOUTH CHARGED WITH MISCHIEF IN NORTH MIDDLESEX

NORTH MIDDLESEX - On July 18, 2024, at 9:52 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police OPP were dispatched to a residence on New Ontario Road in North Middlesex for the report of a disturbance.
As a result, a 13-year-old was taken into custody and charged under the Criminal Code with one count
of Mischief Under $5,000.
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date to speak to the charges.

FATAL COLLISION IN ADELAIDE METCALFE Individual Charged

ADELAIDE METCALFE - An individual from Adelaide Metcalfe has been charged as a result of a two-vehicle collision, involving a motorcycle, on Egremont Drive. On June 15, 2024, at 1:10 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex-London Paramedic Service, and local fire, were dispatched to Egremont Drive, just west of School Road in Adelaide Metcalfe for the report of a serious collision involving a sport utility vehicle (SUV) and motorcycle.
Two occupants travelling on themotorcycle died as a result of the
collision. The driver of the SUV, a 46-year old of Adelaide Metcalfe, has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with: Careless driving causing death (two counts)
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in an Ontario Provincial Traffic Court to speak to the charges.

TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGE

MIDDLESEX CENTRE - Traffic stop for speeding on Highbury Avenue North leads to impaired charge. On July 7, 2024, at 4:26 p.m., a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), while on general patrol, observed a vehicle travelling well above the posted speed limit on Highbury Avenue North in Middlesex Centre.
A traffic stop was initiated. It was determined the driver had previously consumed alcohol. An Approved Screening Device (ASD) was utilized. The driver was arrested and transported to the Middlesex
OPP detachment where further tests were administered.
As a result, a 44-year-old of Granton, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with: Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), Driver fail to surrender
licence, Speeding 1 - 49 Km/h over posted limit
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on September 5, 2024.

INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE INVESTIGATION RESULTS IN CHARGES

NORTH MIDDLESEX, ON) - On July 9, 2024, at 10:14 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario
Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to an address in North Middlesex, for the report of a disturbance.
As a result, a 42-year-old of Middlesex County, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:
Assault - Spousal (two counts)
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date to speak to the charges.
