GLENCOE - The Glencoe Fair, held on September 20-21, was once again a celebration of community and tradition. I had the chance to attend on Saturday, and it was an unforgettable day. The atmosphere was vibrant, with families, friends, and neighbours coming together to enjoy all the fair had to offer.
The parade featured beautifully decorated cars and tractors, with participants enthusiastically representing the community. The ivestock shows, featuring cows, sheep, and pigs, were another highlight, and it was heartwarming to see young people proudly presenting their animals. The Great Canadian Lumberjacks added a thrilling touch to the day, with their impressive skills drawing cheers from the crowd.
For the kids and families, there were exciting midway rides and a variety of delicious food options to enjoy throughout the day. Later in the afternoon, live music by Hayden Mellon created a lively atmosphere in the beer garden, where people gathered to relax and enjoy the performances.
The Glencoe Fair, with its deep-rooted history, continues to be a place where memories are made, and Saturday was a perfect reflection of that tradition. The warmth of the people and the joy of shared experiences made it a truly special day.
