Since being re-elected as your Member of Provincial Parliament on February 27th, I have been excited to return to my role and reconnect with constituents across Lambton-Kent-Middlesex. It has been wonderful to meet with so many of you, hear your concerns, and share ideas on how we can continue to move our community forward. I am truly humbled by your trust in me once again, and I am committed to ensuring that we build a brighter future together.
In the weeks since the election, I have had the privilege of being sworn in once more and diving right into the work that lies ahead. We have big challenges to tackle—both on the provincial level and here at home in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex. As we move forward, I remain focused on serving this community with the same dedication that has always guided me.
Ontario’s economy is the largest of provinces in Canada, built on the strength of our workers, our businesses, and our rural communities. But as the world economy shifts, new challenges are emerging - challenges that require strong leadership and decisive action.
As you all know, the United States reintroduced tariffs on key Canadian industries, a move that threatens jobs and economic growth across our province. Ontario’s manufacturing, automobile, and skilled trades sectors—many of which are the heart of Lambton-Kent-Middlesex—could be directly impacted. That is why Premier Doug Ford and our PC government are taking a firm stand to protect Ontario’s interests.
We are working closely with industry leaders, trade partners, and the federal government to push back against these tariffs and ensure that Ontario businesses remain competitive. Premier Ford has made it clear: we will not let foreign policies dictate the future of our province. That means fighting to keep jobs in Ontario, ensuring market access for our exports, and supporting the businesses that drive our economy.
But defending our economy is not just about reacting to challenges—it is about taking proactive steps to ensure that Lambton-Kent-Middlesex remains a great place to do business. That is why I am proud that our government continues to invest in rural communities, cutting red tape, and making it easier for businesses to grow.
As we navigate these uncertain times, I remain steadfast in my commitment to protecting the jobs and livelihoods of those in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex. From advocating for the interests of local businesses to ensuring the sustainability of our workforce, I am focused on supporting policies that create new opportunities for everyone in our community.
