It has been a busy and exciting quarter for the Strathroy & District Chamber of Commerce, and we’re thrilled to see so many existing and new members of our business community coming together to connect, collaborate, and celebrate.
Our popular Biz after Biz networking events continue to bring local businesses together every month, offering valuable opportunities to build relationships and share ideas in a relaxed setting. We’re also excited to have our Women in Business networking group back up and running, providing a dedicated space for women entrepreneurs and professionals to support and inspire one another.
One of the highlights of the season was our annual Business Excellence Awards Gala , held at the end of May. The evening was a tremendous success, as we gathered to recognize and celebrate the outstanding achievements of local businesses and individuals who make Strathroy and area such a vibrant place to live and work. A heartfelt thank you to all our sponsors, nominees, and attendees for making this special night one to remember.
Looking ahead, we’re gearing up for one of our favourite events—the Annual Chamber Golf Tournament , taking place on September 12 at Willow Tree Golf. This is always a fun day filled with great company, friendly competition, and plenty of networking opportunities. Whether you’re an avid golfer or just looking to enjoy a day on the course, we encourage you to gather your colleagues and register a team. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for those looking to showcase their business.
At the same time, we know that many of our members are keeping a close eye on the ongoing U.S.-Canada trade disputes and the resulting disruptions to supply chains, pricing, and cross-border business. These issues impact businesses of every size, from manufacturers to retailers, and we recognize the uncertainty they bring.
Chambers across the country, including ours, are working together to advocate for open, stable trade relationships that support local economies. We are in regular contact with the Ontario Chamber of Commerce and government partners to ensure the voice of small and medium-sized businesses is heard. We encourage Chamber members to reach out to us to share how these challenges are affecting their operations so that we can represent your interests effectively.
Together, through strong networks and a united voice, we can help our local businesses not only weather challenges but continue to thrive.
The Chamber is here to support you—whether you’re looking to grow your network, raise your profile, or navigate uncertain times. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us anytime. We’re always just a phone call or email away and ready to help you succeed.
