STRATHROY - A new locally owned auto repair shop is preparing to open its doors in downtown Strathroy, with a clear focus on community trust, affordability, and long-term relationships.
Strathroy Auto Source will officially celebrate its grand opening on March 2, inviting residents to stop by between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for a ribbon-cutting ceremony, community gathering, and a chance to meet the team behind the new business. The event will include a live broadcast from the local radio, a food truck, and complimentary oil-change vouchers. Mayor Colin Grantham and members of Strathroy-Caradoc council will also be there.
The shop is owned by Monir , who has deep roots in Southwestern Ontario and a long history of involvement in the auto repair industry. Monir says his entry into the automotive industry was shaped early on by a strong work ethic and family values instilled by his father.
“I come from a hardworking background,” Monir said. “My father always taught me to be honest, work hard, and treat people properly. That’s what I’m bringing into this business.”
While Strathroy Auto Source is new to the community, Monir is not new to the industry. The business also operates a long-standing location in London, where it has served customers for nearly a decade. That experience, he says, allows him to offer competitive pricing in Strathroy without compromising on quality.
“People are going through hard times right now,” he said. “My goal is to give back in a practical way. That means fair, aggressive pricing and clear service, so customers feel confident about what they’re paying for.”
Monir believes trust remains one of the biggest challenges in the auto repair industry and hopes to change how customers experience it. From routine oil changes and tire services to diagnostics and mechanical repairs, the shop services all vehicle makes and models.
“I want people to walk in here feeling comfortable,” he said. “No pressure, no fear—just honest service at a fair price.”
With its downtown location and emphasis on accessibility, Strathroy Auto Source aims to become more than just a repair shop. Monir sees it as a long-term investment in the community—a family business built on transparency, reliability, and connection.
As Strathroy continues to grow, Monir believes the shop’s role is simple: serve the community well and earn its trust, one customer at a time.
