As we move through harvest season, I want to take a moment to personally thank the farmers and farming families of Lambton–Kent–Middlesex for everything you do.
Farming is more than a job. It is a way of life that demands dedication, resilience and an incredible amount of hard work.
From the early mornings and long days in the fields to the challenges of unpredictable weather, rising costs and changing market conditions, I recognize that farming comes with significant demands and sacrifices. Yet, day after day, our farmers continue to show up, working hard to provide the food we depend on and sustain an industry that is essential to Ontario.
Growing up and living in a riding with such strong agricultural roots, we understand just how much farming means to our communities.
Our farmers are our neighbours, friends and local business owners. They support jobs, contribute to our local economy and help preserve the rural traditions that make Lambton–Kent–Middlesex such a special place to call home.
I also want to recognize the families who work behind the scenes, the next generation preparing to carry on the tradition, and the agricultural workers whose contributions help keep farms operating. Your commitment does not go unnoticed.
As your Member of Provincial Parliament, I am proud to represent a riding where agriculture remains such an important part of our identity and our future.
I understand that a strong Ontario depends on a strong agricultural sector, and I remain committed to ensuring the voices and concerns of our rural communities are heard at Queen’s Park.
To every farmer and farming family, thank you for your hard work, your perseverance and your commitment to feeding our communities. We appreciate you, we value what you do, and we are proud to stand alongside you.
Wishing everyone a safe and successful harvest!
