As we reflect on the past year, I am proud to share some of the meaningful progress achieved across Lambton–Kent–Middlesex in 2025.
Supporting long-term care remains a top priority. This summer, we were pleased to announce a major expansion at Craigwiel Gardens in Ailsa Craig, and more recently, we celebrated the ribbon cutting at Country Terrace in Komoka following the completion of their expansion. These important investments help ensure seniors in our communities can access high-quality care close to home.
Throughout Lambton–Kent–Middlesex, we have also worked closely with our municipalities to support growth and address local needs. I am proud that our advocacy helped bring more than $24 million in provincial funding through the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund (OCIF) to our 14 municipalities and counties—supporting housing, infrastructure, and the essential services that keep our towns and rural communities strong.
Healthcare also took a significant step forward this year with the new MRI machine at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital now fully operational. This advancement means faster, more convenient diagnostic care for residents close to home and reflects the province’s commitment to expanding capacity, reducing wait times, and strengthening community-based care.
As Christmas approaches, I want to extend my warmest wishes to every family across Lambton–Kent–Middlesex. May this holiday season bring you peace, joy, and cherished time with those you hold dear.
Merry Christmas and
Happy New Year!
