SPORTS - With soccer and baseball seasons coming to an end or over, what will we do? Oh yeah, how about hockey!
The Lucan Ilderton minor baseball teams played a great playoff season that gave the fans plenty of excitement. The Lucan pool will soon draw to a close its public swimming as well as Aquafit, lessons, and swim team practices. The Lucan Summer Day Camp saw kids enjoy summer activities
Now it’s time to turn our minds—and eyes—to hockey. The North Middlesex Stars and the Lucan Irish 6 Junior C teams are playing exhibition games the last two weeks of August. The teams are still working the bugs out as they play these games. Lucan hasn’t chosen a team captain yet, however, the games are proving goal tender Kaden Lange is quite capable.
New to the Irish, Ben Van De Peer is Head Coach and Jeremy Van Bergen is Assistant Coach. On September 13 the Irish play their first regular season game, this in Exeter against the Hawks. The next evening, the 14th, is their home opener.
Put on your toque, bring the Tims, and come watch the games.
