TRAFFIC COMPLAINT LEADS TO ALCOHOL RELATED CHARGES FOR YOUTH
LUCAN BIDDULPH - Traffic complaint leads to alcohol related charges for six youth from Huron County. On September 6, 2024, at 10:36 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police, were dispatched to a traffic complaint on Richmond Street in the Township of Lucan Biddulph. A complaint was received from a member of the public that occupants were tossing items out the window from a moving vehicle.The vehicle was located, and a traffic stop was initiated. A search of the vehicle revealed open alcohol. As a result, five passengers, all 16-years-old of Huron County, were charged under the Liquor Licence Control Act with Person under 19 years having liquor.
The driver, a 17-year-old of Blyth, passed a roadside Approved Screening Device (ASD) test and was subsequently charged with Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available under the Liquor Licence Control Act.

ROAD RAGE INCIDENT RESULTS IN ASSAULT CHARGE
ADELAIDE METCALFE - Road rage incident results in assault charge for driver from Lambton County. On September 9, 2024, at 3:10 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a disturbance at a business on Centre Road in Strathroy involving two individuals who were previously involved in a road rage incident on Egremont Drive and Centre Road in Adelaide Metcalfe.
As a result, a 40-year-old of Forest, has been charged under the Criminal Code with: Assault
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on November 14, 2024.There were no injuries reported. With the heavy traffic and construction on our roadways these days, driving can be frustrating and stressful. It’s important to stay calm and stay in control of our emotions.

RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE IN SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX: Driver Assaults Officers
SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX - Stolen vehicle located and recovered in Southwest Middlesex. Driver from Blenheim facing numerous charges including assault police. On September 15, 2024, at 12:45 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to Thames Road at Gentlemen Drive, for the report of a possible location of a stolen vehicle, being tracked by GPS.Officers arrived on scene and located the vehicle stationary on the roadway. During the investigation the accused assaulted an officer and attempted to flee on foot.
Additional officers on scene were able to catch the suspect and place them under arrest, at which time two additional officers were assaulted.
As a result, a 41-year-old of Blenheim, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with: Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code (three counts), Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 - in Canada, Assault with intent to resist arrest (three counts), Fail to Comply with Probation Order, Driving while under suspension (two counts)
The accused was held for bail.The vehicle had previously been reported stolen out of Chatham-Kent.The officers did not require medical attention.

STOLEN VEHICLE FROM SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX
SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX- On September 18, 2024, at 8:56 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to an address on Springfield Road in Southwest Middlesex, for the report of a stolen vehicle. It was determined an unknown individual(s) entered the property sometime during the overnight hours and proceeded to steal a 2007, white, Dodge Ram pickup truck from the laneway. INDIVIDUAL FACING CHARGE AFTER THEFT COMPLAINT
MIDDLESEX CENTRE - Individual from Mount Brydges has been charged with theft of alcohol from business in Kilworth. On September 11, 2024, at 1:02 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to a business at 10166 Glendon Drive in Kilworth, Middlesex Centre, for the report of a theft of alcohol the previous day. As a result of the investigation, a 52-year-old of Mount Brydges, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code on September 14, 2024, with: Theft Under $5000- SHOPLIFTING. The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on November 6, 2024.
