TRAFFIC COMPLAINT LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGE
ADELAIDE METCALFE - Driver charged with Impaired after member of the public reports a traffic complaint. On September 28, 2024, at 11:34 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a business on Centre Road in Adelaide Metcalfe, for the report of a possible impaired driver. It was determined the driver had previously consumed alcohol and was placed under arrest without incident. As a result, a 63-year-old of Thedford, has been charged under the Criminal Code with: Operation while impaired - alcohol, Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on November 6, 2024.
TWO-VEHICLE COLLISION SENDS TWO DRIVERS TO HOSPITAL
MIDDLESEX CENTRE - A two-vehicle collision sent two drivers to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. On October 2, 2024, at 10:39 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex-London Paramedic Service and Middlesex Centre Fire, were dispatched to the intersection of Ilderton Road and Vanneck Road, Middlesex Centre, for the report of a two-vehicle collision between two passenger vehicles.Two drivers were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A 49-year-old of Exeter was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with fail to yield to right of way at Stop Sign.
OVERNIGHT BREAK & ENTER REPORTED IN ADELAIDE METCALFE
ADELAIDE METCALFE - Middlesex County OPP investigating overnight break and enter in Thames Centre. On October 7, 2024, at 8:39 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to a residence on Pike Road in Adelaide Metcalfe, for the report of a break and enter.Investigation revealed an unknown individual(s) forced entry to an outbuilding on the property through the side door and proceeded to steal a chainsaw. The investigation is continuing.
SOVERNIGHT BREAK & ENTER TO BUSINESS IN THAMES CENTRE
THAMES CENTRE, - Middlesex County OPP investigating overnight break and enter to business in Thames Centre.On September 22, 2024, at 4:48 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to a business at 4016 Dundas Street in Thames Centre, for the report of a break and enter. Investigation revealed an unknown individual(s) forced entry to an office on the property through the front door and proceeded to steal approximately $1,500 in tools.The investigation is continuing.
OPP INVESTIGATING FATAL ATV ROLLOVER IN THAMES CENTRE
THAMES CENTRE - All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) rollover leads to death of individual from Thames Centre.On October 1, 2024, at approximately 12:01 a.m., emergency services including members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex-London Paramedic Service and Thames Centre fire responded to an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) rollover on private property on Evelyn Drive in the Municipality of Thames Centre. The lone rider, a 45-year-old of Thames Centre was pronounced deceased at scene. The Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team attended the scene to assist with the investigation.
