SNOWMOBILE TRAILER STOLEN FROM RESIDENCE IN PARKHILL
NORTH MIDDLESEX - Police investigating theft of a snowmobile trailer in North Middlesex. On December 8, 2024, at 12:06 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to an address on Hastings Street in Parkhill, Municipality of North Middlesex, for the report of a stolen snowmobile trailer. It was determined an unknown individual(s) entered the property sometime during the overnight hours and proceeded to steal a black, 2018, Sled Shed Pro, snowmobile trailer. The investigation is continuing.
ATV STOLEN FROM FARM IN MIDDLESEX CENTRE
MIDDLESEX CENTRE - Police investigating theft of an ATV in Middlesex Centre. On December 7, 2024, at 7:57 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to an address on Nine Mile Road in Middlesex Centre, for the report of a stolen All Terrain Vehicle (ATV). It was determined an unknown individual(s) entered the property sometime between December 2 and December 7, 2024, and proceeded to steal a camouflage, 2003, Can-Am Q65, four-wheeled ATV. The investigation is continuing.

TRAIN COLLIDES WITH VEHICLE IN THAMES CENTRE
THAMES CENTRE - Train collides with a vehicle in Thames Centre. On December 3, 2024, at 12:05 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex-London Paramedic Service and Thames Centre Fire were dispatched to the railroad crossing on Elgin Road at Catherine Street in Thames Centre, for the report of a vehicle that had been struck by a passing train.Investigation revealed the driver of the car became stuck on the tracks and exited the vehicle prior to the collision with the Canadian National (CN) train. The train safely came to a stop and there was no damage to the rail tracks. There were no injuries reported.
The driver, a 33-year-old of Mississauga, has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act and the Railway Safety Act with: Careless driving, Use plate not authorized for vehicle, Fail to give way to railway equipment at a road crossing
Elgin Road was closed for hours as police and engineers investigated the collision. The investigation is continuing.
SEARCH WARRANT RESULTS IN RECOVERY OF STOLEN TRAILER
ADELAIDE METCALFE- Individual charged after search warrant executed at an address in Adelaide Metcalfe. On December 6, 2024, members of the Elgin-Middlesex Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), the Oxford-Brant and Lambton CSCU, OPP Canine, OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), executed a search warrant at a residence on Melbourne Road in Adelaide Metcalfe. CSCU members recovered a stolen trailer, previously reported stolen out of the City of London.
A 45-year-old of Adelaide Metcalfe, has been charged under the Criminal Code with: Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 - in Canada
The accused was held for bail.
OPP INVESTIGATING $45,000 CRYPTO CURRENCY FRAUD
MIDDLESEX CENTRE - Middlesex OPP investigating a $45,000 Crypto currency fraud. On December 10, 2024, at 12:52 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to an address in Middlesex Centre, where an individual reported being a victim of fraud. Investigation revealed the victim received a pop-up ad on a popular social media platform with details on an investment opportunity into crypto currency. The victim believed it was legitimate, clicked on the link and began investing. The victim became suspicious after they were instructed to add additional funds to unlock and retrieve the initial investment, at which time police were called.
The investigation is continuing.
TWO INDIVIDUALS FACING CHARGES IN DAYTIME BREAK & ENTER
NORTH MIDDLESEX - Middlesex County OPP investigating a break and enter to a property in North Middlesex. On December 13, 2024, at 12:11 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to a property on Creamery Road in North Middlesex for the report of a break and enter in progress. As officers arrived on scene two individuals were observed fleeing the area on foot. Members of the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and OPP Canine located and arrested two individuals not far from the scene. The pair were operating a vehicle which had become stuck. The vehicle was confirmed to be stolen.
As a result, a 33-year-old of Sarnia, has been charged under the Criminal Code with: Break, Enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 - in Canada. The accused was held for bail.
As a result, a 33-year-old of West Perth, has been charged under the Criminal Code with: Break, Enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 - in Canada. The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on January 29, 2025, to speak to the charges.
STOLEN VEHICLE FROM RESIDENCE IN LUCAN
LUCAN BIDDULPH, ON) - Middlesex County OPP investigating a stolen vehicle from Lucan. On December 16, 2024, at 7:45 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to an address on Watts Drive in Lucan, Township of Lucan Biddulph, for the report of a stolen vehicle. It was determined an unknown individual(s) entered the property, sometime overnight and proceeded to steal a 2022, black, Ford F150 pickup truck. The investigation is continuing.
