TWO-VEHICLE COLLISION LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGE
ADELAIDE METCALFE- Driver facing impaired charge after two-vehicle collision sends one driver to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. On March 5, 2025, at 7:26 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex-London Paramedic Service and Adelaide Metcalfe Fire were dispatched to Egremont Drive in Adelaide Metcalfe for the report of a two-vehicle collision. One involved driver was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and the other driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.
As a result, a 36-year-old of Forest has been charged under the Criminal Code with: Operation while impaired - Alcohol, Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on May 1, 2025.
COPP INVESTIGATING BREAK & ENTER IN NORTH MIDDLESEX
NORTH MIDDLESEX - Middlesex County OPP investigating break and enter in North Middlesex. On March 19, 2025, at 11:45 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to an address on Sylvan Road in North Middlesex, for the report of a break and enter.
Investigation revealed an unknown individual(s) forced entry into two storage sheds sometime during the overnight hours and proceeded to steal approximately $10,000 worth of tools, including a firearm. The investigation is continuing.
TRAFFIC COMPLAINT LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGE
SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX - Driver facing impaired charge after traffic complaint in Southwest Middlesex. On March 13, 2025, at 11:04 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to Dundonald Road in Glencoe, Southwest Middlesex, for the report of a possible impaired driver.
The vehicle was located on Concession Drive at which time a traffic stop was initiated. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.
As a result, a 28-year-old of Ridgetown, has been charged under the Criminal Code with: Operation while impaired - Alcohol, Failure or refusal to comply with demand. The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on May 13, 2025.
INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE INVESTIGATION RESULTS IN IMPAIRED CHARGE
MIDDLESEX CENTRE - individual facing multiple charges following Intimate partner violence investigation. On March 14, 2025, at 10:10 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to an address in Middlesex Centre, for the report of a disturbance. An involved individual fled the scene in a vehicle and was later located on Sarnia Road in the City of London. A traffic stop was initiated.
As a result, a 45-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code with: Operation while impaired - alcohol, Failure or refusal to comply with demand, Dangerous operation
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date to speak to the charges.
OPP INVESTIGATING BREAK & ENTER IN
KOMOKA
MIDDLESEX CENTRE - Middlesex County OPP investigating a break and enter to business in Komoka. On March 15, 2025, at 1:07 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to a business at 9919 Glendon Drive in Komoka, Municipality of Middlesex Centre, for the report of commercial alarm and possible break and enter in progress. Investigation revealed a vehicle was used to breach the front doors to the business. The vehicle had previously been reported as stolen out of the City of London. Two individuals entered the store and proceeded to steal miscellaneous items. The value of items taken is unknown at this time.
Investigation revealed two individuals fled the scene in a vehicle which was later located at an address on Jubilee Road in Chippewas of The Thames First Nation.
The vehicle had previously been reported as stolen out of Chatham-Kent.As a result, a 25-year-old of Chippewas of the Thames First Nation has been charged under the Criminal Code with: Break, Enter a place - commit indictable offence, Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 - in Canada, Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code
The accused was held for bail.
