STRATHROY - Encountering a business that brings fresh ideas and luxurious options to home renovations is delightful. Elevate Baths, located at 80 Frank Street, has been carving out a niche in the bathroom renovation market since opening its doors one and a half years ago.
The journey to establishing Elevate Baths was not without challenges. Adam Rice, the owner and CEO, initially envisioned a specialty tile installation business but soon discovered the limitations posed by retail protections in the area, which prevented him from purchasing tile directly from manufacturers. “I was two months into renovations when I found out I couldn’t buy tile,” he explains. Faced with this setback, he pivoted to focus on bathroom products instead.
In addition to bathrooms, Rice is excited about an upcoming project: a steam room with a unique curved porcelain ceiling—the first of its kind in Canada. This innovative design addresses a common issue in steam rooms: condensation. By curving the ceiling, water will naturally run down the walls rather than falling on users.
“We are making significant advancements with this steam room,” Adam noted. “It will feature a floating floor assembly that appears flat while cleverly concealing a drainage system underneath. This is not just a functional enhancement; it’s a way to create a beautiful space that defies traditional design expectations.”
As Elevate Baths continues to grow, the owner recognizes the need to adapt to market demands. In the coming months, the store will transition to become Elevate Kitchen and Bath, expanding its offerings to include kitchens alongside its existing bathroom products.
These upcoming changes will feature a modern European style, characterized by sleek, minimalist designs that are both functional and visually appealing. The new product lines will include hidden appliances, innovative workstations, and high-end cabinetry sourced from top manufacturers.
Each member of the small, dedicated team behind Elevate Baths contributes unique strengths. Rice emphasizes the importance of maintaining quality over quantity in their workforce, focusing on profitability and excellence rather than rapid expansion. The supportive environment fosters creativity and collaboration, allowing the team to explore innovative ideas and execute ambitious projects together.
One of the standout innovations that Elevate Baths plans to introduce is a line of high-quality doors. “They are stronger, insulated, and feature advanced locking systems,” Adam explains. These doors are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing, enhancing the overall design of any home. With a commitment to durability and security, Elevate Baths is proud to offer products that can withstand the rigors of everyday life while providing an elegant touch.
